ActiveThe operating layer for the next hospitality platform
This company has previously operated under “Trellis Tech”, “Trellis”, “trellis”. A rename frequently marks a pivot in positioning or product — useful raw material for variant ideas.
About
The next hospitality platform will actually operate listings We believe short-term rentals are going through a platform shift: the winning platform will not just help guests find homes, but operate those homes autonomously with agents. Our first goal is to prove agents can automate short-term rental operations at scale by partnering with property managers and replacing their fragmented software stack with Trellis agents. We’ve had the fastest ever growth in this industry In two months, we’ve grown to $500k ARR across 35 customers and 3,000 listings, growing around 15% week over week. One customer is already running with no human involved in day-to-day operations. **we've previously built agents and lived the operations** Lodo, CEO, studied mathematical logic at Cambridge, then joined Conduit, YC W24, as a founding AI engineer building customer service agents. I also scaled a property management to 150 properties and $2M in annual revenue. Jan, COO, spent the last three years in short-term rental tech as a founding GTM, building relationships with hundreds of property managers Listings should be operated by agents Property management is exactly the kind of work agents are good at: coordinating communication and real-world work across guests, owners, cleaners, maintenance, and vendors. Once an agent has the full operational context, it can run the process end-to-end. We’re building software agents can operate and reshape We are not adding AI to static SaaS. Hospitality operations are too dynamic for fixed software. Trellis is AI-native software: the fixed infrastructure is the trellis, and the workflows, interfaces, and business logic agents grow for each operator are the vines. Airbnb’s moat is crumbling Airbnb won the last platform shift by solving discovery and trust: it made homes easy to find and made people comfortable booking from strangers. But in the agent era, discovery becomes less defensible because booking agents can search the open web. What remains is trust. Today, Airbnb creates trust by validating human service through reviews. But human service is fallible, and Airbnb cannot directly control execution. Once agents run the service layer, trust can be guaranteed by the software controlling the operation. Partnering with property managers is the fastest path to agent-run listings We start with property managers because they already run hospitality at scale. By becoming the system that runs them, Trellis can create the first network of agent-run homes and eventually become the network guests and booking agents trust directly.

Hi, I’m Lodo. I believe the next decade of software belongs to systems that grow around you, not tools you adapt to. Static SaaS is dying. The future is AI-native software that learns, builds, and evolves with every customer. I’m building that future for hospitality with Trellis: an AI-native operating system that learns how each operator runs, then builds the workflows and nterfaces needed to execute the business. We don't sell software with AI, we sell AI that builds your software
Heyyy, I am Jan and with my AI genius co-founder Lodo we're building the future of hospitality tech. SaaS is dead so we're giving Property Managers a digital copy of their company that builds and runs itself.
